Our miniature mountain dulcimers are smaller 3-string versions of the Juniper, Teardrop, and June Apple models. These instruments are very light and portable, child- or backpack-sized, and are capable of being tuned to higher scales because of their shorter fretboards. Because the building techniques are the same, the cost of these instruments is close to that of the full-scale model. This miniature 3-string teardrop soprano dulcimer features a bookmatched black walnut body and Western red cedar top with round sound holes, and a decorative back inlay strip. It has Grover "Sta-Tite" nickel plated all metal tuners with brass gears and 14:1 gear ratio.
