Gary Putnam is a friend and former dulcimer builder. His unique design features a curved bottom (an extension of the curved sides), a decorative inlay strip in the back, a full fretboard, and two octaves of notes. A delightful soprano instrument, this dulcimer features a black walnut body, sides, and fretboard, and a Western red cedar top with round sound holes. The large body produces a full sound for a soprano. It has four gold-plated Grover "Sta-Tite" metal tuners with brass gears and 14:1 gear ratio.
