Our 8-string Deluxe German Scheitholt incorporates a more traditional and slightly larger rectangular body and an intricate wooden "lace" sound hole rosette. It is crafted of a walnut body and Paulownia top. Four strings run over the full fretboard, and it boasts an additional four drone strings for a full sound. This instrument is tuned with zither pins and comes with a tuning wrench. Paulownia tops are used in Japanese floor kotos and are very resonant.
